Little Musical Voyages

Musical adventures for little people. Every Friday at Campus Pool Skatepark, Bishopsworth, 10:30am and Hungry Caterpillar play Cafe, Bedminster, 13:30.



 Dandelion Music.

Andrew Lawrence MA (Musicology), PGCE (Music) is a practising community musician running choirs, workshops and short-term music projects in the Bristol area. With 16 years’ experience working with young people in music and community projects, 4 years’ experience as a secondary school music teacher and 4 years’ experience as a dad, Andrew uses a variety of approaches to create immersive musical experiences for all.


Dandelion Music is the music that grows up in the cracks in the pavement, spontaneous, joyful, and robust. Dandelion Music follows these principles:
  • Everyone is musical!
  • Music is communication - playing or singing together transcends language
  • There’s no age limit on music
  • Music happens in community and creates communities
  • Musicking together is fun
It is my hope that you create your own dandelion music whilst matching the beeps of the pelican crossing, or whilst making up laundry songs with your toddlers, or whilst singing half-remembered pop songs in the shower.

Little Musical Voyages 
Interactive musical experiences for pre-schoolers. Energetic themed musical adventures for pre-schoolers including singing, percussion instruments and ukuleles. We create soundscapes, we sing, we play, we imagine. All pre-school ages welcome. No need to book, just drop in.

Hartcliffe & Withywood Community Choir
The only free community choir in Bristol. We learn songs by ear so no reading music necessary. Our choir sings in three or four part harmony, and performs a range of songs from pop songs old and new, to rounds, spirituals and traditional songs. We usually have around 30 attendees of all ages. Ukulele Lessons
A six week ukulele course for adults getting you started on this fun and easy to master instrument. Great fun to play on your own or in groups, this course covers your first chords, rhythm and experience in the joy of playing together, as well as some basic theory - just enough to get started.
